Welcome to the lovely world of solo jazz guitar!  

In this 4 week course, Tracy takes 4 different songs ranging from jazz standards and teaches the many various approaches to creating simple and beautiful solo jazz guitar arrangements.  

Tracy will teach you the most important and common chord voicings and the theory which will allow you to be creative and apply the concepts to any song!  You will learn how to create an intro and ending for any song.  Also, learn how to choose the appropriate chord quality including triads and seventh chords and their inversions to help support the melody.  Tracy will also discuss practice techniques and ways to develop an improvisational approach over songs using chords.

Tracy will offer a lot of pro tips and also demonstrations for you to hear the possibilities. 

The set list will be chosen from the following song list:

Some styles studied are that of Joe Pass, Wed Montgomery, Django Reinhardt, Earl Klugh, Tommy Emmanuel, Martin Taylor, Eric Clapton and Pat Metheny.
