Workshop Info

This two-part workshop explores ways of fitting in and being flexible with other music players around the campfire. While it was designed for ukulele players, players of any string instrument somewhat proficient are welcome to join us! You may come to one part or both:

Part One: Campfire Songs by Ear - Learn / review classic campfire songs with repetitive chord progressions, e.g. Goodnight Irene, The Crawdad Song, Will the Circle Be Unbroken, etc., featuring chord families in the keys of C, D, G and A. 10 - 11:15am.

Part Two: Find Your Key - Once you know the different chord families, you can choose the key for your favorite song that best fits your voice. You are welcome to bring a song of your choice, or choose from the campfire songs from Part One of this workshop. 11:30am - 12:30 pm.
